Description:
In the Japanese tea ceremony, there is a tool called a chashaku, also known as a tea spoon ladle. It is literally an item to scoop matcha powder, and it is said that one made from bamboo is a standard type for tea ceremony lessons.
Made from bamboo, it is more elastic and durable than its wooden counterpart. Furthermore, unlike metallic spoons, it does not generate static electricity while scooping the matcha.
As the handle of the ladle is slightly curved, it is designed to allow you to scoop the matcha easier.
FUN FACT ABOUT CHASAKU
- Using bamboo chashaku will avoid matcha from oxidation. It's affects colour, turning matcha from a vibrant green to dull, grey colour and the overall taste of matcha, introducing more unpleasant bitter notes.
- Each scoop of chashaku is exactly 1 gram of matcha powder.

When cleansing, wipe with a dry cloth or tissue paper without using water.
