ABOUT TOYO SASAKI GLASS

TSG (Toyo-Sasaki Glass) was created in 2002 following the merger between the Houseware Division of Toyo Glass and Sasaki Glass, two of Japan's oldest and largest glassware manufacturing companies. The combination of their long-standing traditions, technologies, and extensive sales networks have made TSG the biggest glassware manufacturer in Japan and marked a new chapter in Japan's glassware industry.

Glass is a highly recyclable material made mainly from natural 
resources such as silica sand, lime and soda ash (sodium carbonate).

 Toyo-Sasaki Glass has developed our own high-quality soda lime 
glass “Fine Clear”, which has excellent transparency and does not 
contain any substances harmful to people or the ecosystem in its raw 
materials, and produces machine-made products.

 In addition, they reuse excess glass generated in the manufacturing 
process as a recycled material to effectively utilize limited resources 
and reduce CO2 emissions with technology developed over the past 100 years.

Descriptions:

Hand-made Semi Lead Crystal:  Silicate glass containing more than 10% but less than 24% of lead oxide. Alternatively, silicate glass which contains lead oxide less than 24% or the sum of lead oxide, zinc oxide, barium oxide and potassium oxide is more than 10%.  It gives superb clarity and transparency while carrying the strength and lightweightness of soda-lime glass.
