About Hatsuichi Japan
Hatsuichi refers to the "first market of the new year", which can be traced back to the period of Uesugi Kenshin (1546–1614) during the early Edo Japan period, around February to March every year, and has a history of over 400 years.
Hatsuichi operates with the concept of exploring fresh ideas and continuously innovating. Collaborating with many traditional artisans, the market aims to promote handcrafted goods while offering customers high-quality household items. Handwashing is recommended to retain the beauty of our products and to make it last longer. For products with gold decoration, heating in a microwave may cause sparks, change of colour or damage to the decoration. Products could become cracked or chipped due to bumping with other plates in a home dishwasher; their decoration could also fade or small scratches could develop on the surface if they are washed in a dishwasher frequently.
*Due to the nature of pottery, there may be differences in colour, size, weight, etc., depending on the kiln and temperature conditions. Iron powder and unevenness caused by unevenness and accumulation of glaze may be found in some pieces. Please allow some degree of irregularity on the ceramic are as some are handmade and hand glazed. It does not affect the usability.
