About craftsman and producer Nakata Kizo
Descriptions:
The Chasen- tea whisk is a bamboo utensil made entirely by hand, and it is the soul of ordering tea (making thin tea) / practicing tea (making strong tea). This is an essential tool when making matcha.
This 100 bristles chasen is ideal for matcha beginners.
Japan Nakata Kizo store has more than 40 years of experience in making tea whisks, using Nara old bamboo in South Korea to make a tea whisk with the Japanese quality.
If you don't have a chasen stand, it will be recommended to buy one, The whisk retains the shape of the chasen and prevent it from mould.
This chasen (tea whisk) is lightweight and sturdy, crafted with two rows of prongs. This style can used for Urasenke, one of the most notable Japanese tea ceremony schools.
Each chasen is handmade by an artisan, where each individual line is carved and shaped with a small knife and held in place by thread.
